HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered three years at Wilson High School in Long Beach, Calif., for Head Coach Susan Pescar • As a sophomore (2005), she helped the Bruins become undefeated league champions, Div. I AA CIF Finalists and finish in the top 16 in California • In 2005 she earned the team's Scholar Athlete Award • As a sophomore, she was named to the All-Moore League second team as well as the Long Beach Press Telegram's Dream Team Second Team • Was awarded the Bruins' Best Offensive Player Award in 2006 • Was the Bruins' team captain and Impact Player of the Year as a senior, also earning first-team All-Moore League honors at year's end • Was part of the Distinguished Scholars Program at Wilson High School all four years of school.

PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 21, 1989, in Anaheim Calif. • Full name is Courtney Jane Curran • Parents are Jack and Joyce Curran • Has two siblings, Kelly (20) and Jeffrey (16) • Major is undecided • Her most prized possessions are her current set of colored markers • Lists her best summer job as working as a camp counselor at Camp Nugget, a summer camp for special needs kids aged 6-12 • Enjoys baking unhealthy desserts • Her cousin, Tim Curran, is a professional surfer • Favorites include: salmon, chicken and all desserts (food), "Grease" and "The Parent Trap" (movies), T-Pain (musical artist), "Law & Order" and "Gossip Girl" (TV shows), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (team).
