CORVALLIS, OR - Cal State Fullerton freshman Alaina Baker finished seventh in the all-around while teammate and fellow freshman Maddie Steinauer finished in a tie for 14th on vault on Saturday night at the 2008 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Regionals hosted by Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore.

Baker, the first Titan individual to compete at the NCAA Regionals since 2005, finished with a 38.900 in the all-around, just .025 behind Sacramento State's Melissa Genovese for sixth place and .125 behind Michigan State's Rochelle Robinson, who qualified for nationals with a 39.025 to finish fifth.

Steinauer scored a 9.775 to match Baker's score in a five-way tie for 14th on vault.

Baker also finished in a tie for 19th on floor with a 9.75, 20th on bars with a 9.70, and tied for 33rd on beam with a career-high tying 9.675 to round out her night.

Host Oregon State (197.100) and Michigan (196.375) finished 1-2 in the team competition to each a berth in the NCAA finals. Michigan State (195.125) finished third followed by Washington (194.075), San Jose State (193.850), and Sacramento State (193.575).
