Box Score

Tucson, Arizona - No. 20 Cal State Fullerton snapped No. 1 Arizona's 12-game winning streak behind a four- RBI day by Jared Clark and six strong innings from winning pitcher Cory Arbiso (2-2) in Sunday afternoon's 10-7 win at Kindall Field.

Clark connected for his third home run of the year and drove home two of the Titans' five first inning runs off of losing pitcher Ryan Perry (1-1). The Wildcat hurler lasted just the first inning that saw the Titans send 10 men to the plate. Jon Wilhite (double) Christian Colon (ground out), and Jeff Newman (single) also drove home runs. Eric Berger came on in relief of Perry and tossed six innings allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits.

The Titans added an unearned run in the third on a throwing error by shortstop Rafael Valenzuela and two more in the fifth off reliever Eric Berger. Three consecutive hits by Corey Jones, Wilhite and an RBI-double by Joel Weeks gave the Titans a 7-0 advantage. A sacrifice fly two batters later by Newman extended the lead to 8-0.

Arbiso worked perfect for the first eight hitters of the game and had a no-hitter through four innings before Brad Glenn broke up the no-hit and shutout bid with a solo home run to lead off the fifth. The home run was the first of seven runs the Wildcats would score over the final four innings and Glenn's first home run o f the year. The Titan right-hander finished with six innings of work, surrendering four runs on five hits while striking out one.

After Arbiso surrendered back-to-back hits to start the seventh inning, Ryan Ackland came on and got the final three outs of the inning, but not before allowing a pinch-hit RBI-single to Bobby Coyle to cut the Titan lead to 8-4.

Fullerton added a pair of insurance runs off reliever Cory Burns in the top of the eighth thanks to hit-and-run double by Clark, scoring Newman from second and Christian Colon all the way from first.

Adam Jorgenson came on in relief in the top of the eighth and CJ Zeigler and Dillon Baird smacked consecutive doubles to score Arizona's fifth run of the afternoon.

The Wildcats scored two more runs charged to Jorgenson in the bottom of the ninth as Diallo Fon singled home Valenzuela (Hit by Pitch) followed by a Zeigler sacrifice fly to center to bring home Hunter Pace (single) off the Titans' fifth pitcher of the afternoon, Brian Wilson.

Fullerton will get back to the field on Tuesday when they will travel to Malibu to take on Pepperdine at 3 p.m. The Titans will throw southpaw Jason Dovel to start the "staff day" Tuesday afternoon.
