TITANS `06: Was the most decorated Titan in 2006, the highest of honors being named Collegiate baseball's Co-National Player of the Year • Started the season going 65.2 innings without issuing a walk before surrendering his first free pass to Cal State Northridge's Jonathan Sakurai to lead off the sixth inning on Mar. 31 • Was named Big West Conference Pitcher of the Year after leading the league in opponents' batting average (.220), innings pitched (155) and strikeouts (145), while finishing second in wins (13) and ERA (2.38) • Was a four-time Big West pitcher of the Week (Mar. 13, Apr. 3, Apr. 10 and May 29), and a four-time College Baseball Foundation (CBF) Honor Roll member • Named to the CBF Honors Team • Was a unanimous first-team All-American and was named the ABCA District IX Player of the Year • Was a semi-finalist for the Roger Clemens and Dick Howser Awards and a finalist for the Brooks Wallace Award given to the top collegiate player in the nation • Nearly posted a 21:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (145:7) on the season • Lasted 7.2 innings per start on average, and worked eight-or-more innings in 13 of his 20 starts • Finished the season with three complete games • Set and tied a career-high in strikeouts by fanning 12 opponents on three occasions (Mar. 10 vs. East Carolina, Mar. 31 vs. Cal State Northridge, and June 3 vs. Fresno State • Set a career-high in hit batters, plunking 23 opponents including a career-high four in one game at Rice on Mar. 3 • Surrendered six of his nine total home runs in the post season, three against North Carolina on Jun. 21 to set a career-high in one game • Named to the Fullerton Regional All-Tournament Team with a 12-strikeout, eight-inning performance against Fresno State on June 3 • Was invited and played with the US National Team over the summer, going 2-0, with a 2.01 ERA in 22.1 innings pitched.

TITANS `05: Made quite a splash as a freshman, emerging as the Titans' third starter after Ryan Schreppel went down with a knee injury on Mar. 25 • Appeared in 21 games in 2005, making 10 starts • Went eight innings in his first start as the Saturday starter, allowing just one run in the Titans' 6-1 victory over UC Irvine on Apr. 2. He struck out six and picked up his first career victory • Struck out a season-high seven batters on Apr. 16 vs. Pacific over eight innings of work • Earned his first career save on Mar. 19 vs. Arizona, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings, striking out three • Averaged 7.2 innings in games that he started, earning all his decisions in those 10 games (7-3) • Allowed just one home run in 90 innings pitched • Though he had no complete games, he pitched a season-high eight innings three times, earning the win in all three games (Apr. 2 vs. UC Irvine, Apr. 16 vs. Pacific and June 6 vs. Arizona) • Set the Fullerton single-season record by plunking 18 opposing hitters and hit three batters in a game on two occasions • Was brilliant in the Fullerton Regionals, picking up wins against both Harvard (June 3) and Arizona (June 6), striking out 10 in 15 innings of work without issuing a walk • Was named the Fullerton Regional's Most Outstanding Player, helping advance the Titans to the Super Regionals • The Big West Conference named him the league's Freshman Pitcher of the Year and he earned Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American honors.

GLENDORA HS: Lettered two seasons at Glendora High School his junior and senior seasons • Was a second-team all-league selection his junior year and was named most improved • Was the team MVP his senior year, also picking up first-team all-league and All-San Gabriel Valley recognition • Also lettered three seasons and was named league MVP running for Glendora's cross country team.
