TITANS `07: Posted the third-most number of wins as a versatile starter/reliever for the Titans in 2007 • Earned his first collegiate save in his first appearance, tossing three innings on Feb. 2 against Stanford, surrendering one earned run on three hits • Made six starts for the Titans as a freshman, going 3-3 in those appearances • Had a string of four relief appearances from Mar. 9 to Apr. 10 (10 innings) in which he did not give up a run • Posted his first career win on Feb. 27 vs. San Diego State in a three inning midweek start • Also collected a season-high four strikeouts on Feb. 27 vs. San Diego State • Set his career-high in innings pitched with a 5.1-inning effort on Apr. 22 vs. Pacific when he gave up one run on four hits for the win •

CYPRESS HS: Played varsity baseball for four seasons at Cypress High School in Cypress, Calif., under Head Coach John Weber • In his last three seasons, earned All-Empire League recognition at three different positions (3B, P, OF) • Was named Empire League Pitcher of the Year in 2005 as a junior, when he posted an 11-1 record with a 1.83 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 2005 • Was a 2005 unanimous pick as a first-team all-league, all-CIF, and all-county player, helping the Centurions to a Div. II CIF Championship • Backed up his junior year with a solid senior season going 9-0 from the mound, with a 1.71 ERA and 81 strikeouts, while hitting .297 with four home runs in 2006 • Was named to the All-CIF second team in 2006 and again an All-Empire League first-teamer • Rung up 18 strikeouts against Valencia High School his senior year • The 2006 Centurions were ranked No. 4 in the country.
